Some people really know how to pack and my partner, Beth Bugdaycay, is one of them… she’ll arrive at the airport with her Rimowa graphite carry on and look amazing throughout the holiday. She’s an expert at choosing versatile pieces and so skilled at dressing them up and down. Here are some of her tips:
I love to travel LIGHT… I always pack one “highlight” color that works with every outfit, and one pair of shoes in addition to the pair I’m wearing. (Pierre Hardy are currently my favorites!) I LOVE jewelry, which I carry in a small clutch in my day handbag and then doubles as the accessory for evening. I love a statement necklace to give new life to a Tshirt, right now I’m loving one from artist Orly Genger. I also love jewelry from Jennifer Fisher, Cat Bird, Opening Ceremony as well as some special vintage pieces. We have some very travel-friendly jewelry and accessories (a lightweight scarf is a must-have.)
I’ll pack one jacket or cardigan - for Spring I love this one —— and comfortable pants, such as these sophisticated twill pants in a neutral color. And I am loving the ease and versatility of lace —- the chartreuse lace tunic can be worn over pants or over shorts for two different looks —— and the lace skirt and lace top are classic, feminine, timeless…will never look dated in the vacation photos that I’ll cherish for years to come.
